I am pleased to welcome to the gallery Marco Paniz, a modeller in the truest sense of the word
Marco Paniz works in plaster in composit with other materials such as wood and metal. Thus materialize his double-edged sculptures which he exhibits in the gallery together with sketches that allow insights into his creative process. We are particularly proud to present a bronze version of his 2025 London Sculpture Price award winning “Madame Gênée”. Further bronzes complement the exhibition program of various plaster sculptures.
Rough surfaces, wild structures, but well thought-out proportions characterize his objects and create a special tension that captivates us.
“For over two years I have been working on the fragmentation of the body and its perception. It is an ongoing exploration of the “non finito”. I play with the dichotomy of the finished and unfinished while there is a very human desire for completeness and perfection. But we will only achieve perfection, if at all, through imagination. I deliberately do not emulate the image of the perfect. What interests me is incompleteness, that’s where the power and magic of a work lies.”

Marco Paniz – Bildhauen Experimentieren Gestalten
- Born in 1958 on Lake Zurich
- Actor at various theatres in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Italy
- Cultural manager and project leader with the Swiss Culture Foundation Pro Helvetia (e.g. Guga S’Thebe., Arts and Culture Centre, Langa, Cape Town SA)
- Independent coach and language and presentation trainer, holding seminars
- After various training courses, including at the Scuola di Scultura Peccia (2019 – 2025), freelance artist working with stone, wood and plaster. Frequent sketching activity. Studio use in Peccia, Hittnau and Männedorf.

The City of contrasts series expresses the contrasts of our urban life. We are pleased to be able to present these pictures to you, where large and small, structure and vitality, and the individual in the crowd meet.

Adrian Schaub lives and works in Basel. He finds his clear formal language in black and white photography, which has already won prizes in numerous renowned competitions. He exhibits regularly in Switzerland and internationally.
